Amina Kazemi (she/her)

Amina got a job with the Jersey Press right out of high school and has worked her way up the ladder to be one of the top writers for the paper. It's too bad that isn't exactly saying much. Over the past few years she’s been looking for a story that would take her career to the next level. Something that would take her away from the small local paper to something more. That is when she started to fall down a rabbit hole of conspiracies, unexplained occurrences and mysterious disappearances. As she went deeper her desire for truth replaced a need for recognition.

After coming in contact with a local theorist online, she’s latched on to a brand new thread… and it’s one she’s not about to let go of.

ERVING PATEL (HE/HIM)

Often going simply by “E'“, Erving is a conspiracy theorist, at least to the outside world. Unlike some of the more eccentric people that can be found in the bowels of the dark web, he’s not grasping at any and every wild theory out there. No, for him all the rumors and half truths of the internet pale in comparison to those involving “The Collective.” He’s devoted most of his time to tracking down whatever information he can find that bring him face to face with the with the shadowy group and bring them into the light.

He’s given up a lot in pursuit of this relentless quest. His family… his career… his girlfriend. His obsessive mind is stubbornly locked on finding these people, and it’s a goal Amina is happy to help with even if she doesn’t know exactly why he’s so driven.

“Four” (She/They)

The enigmatic woman known simply as "Four" was found hiding in the ruins of a destroyed laboratory in southern New Jersey. The subject of gruesome experiments, Four's limbs and patches of her skin have been replaced with parts taken from various organisms. She normally speaks in labored gasps, often having to take pauses between words. Four seems outwardly frail, but her occasional outbursts hint that she might not be. It’s possible she’s simply ashamed.

Four suffers dissociative amnesia after the events that led up to the destruction of the laboratory. Her condition prevents her from remembering certain details about her past and even her own name. From what Amina has pieced together, she’s around 20 years old.

How Four survived her disfigurement and destruction of the lab still remains a mystery. For now, she hides from the people who created her as she and her friends try to unravel her past.
